Jenny Tynes

My poems have appeared in Poetry, Poetry Daily, Magic: The Gathering, Washington Queer Poetry Anthology, and elsewhere. I earned an M.F.A. in creative writing with a poetry emphasis and was the recipient of an individual artist’s grant from the Constance Saltonstall Foundation.

My speculative verse-novel submission ELEVENTH WINTER won the 2023 SCBWI Work-in-Progress Award for the YA category, and another manuscript (not in verse) was a YA finalist in the Pacific Northwest Writers Association Literary Contest. I’m an alum of the Centrum Artist Residency and the SCBWI WWA Mentorship Program. I am seeking representation.

As an editor, I’ve worked in a number of full-time and freelance roles on a variety of projects, such as Amazing Stories magazine, M:TG novels, Rat City Roller Girls trading cards, the literary journal Epoch, The Stranger weekly newspaper, and, mainly, tabletop games of all kinds. While I’m not actively looking for more editing work right now, I’m tempted by interesting projects with good people. Use the form below to inquire.
